Mounting

Mounting is a great process that can be used to enhance your project and make it unique. The mounting process involves taking  2 sheets of paper and adhering them together with a glue to make them double thick. They are then placed in a hydraulic press so the glue can set between the sheets of paper.  Mounting can be done between 2 sheets or more than 2 sheets of paper.

Some uses for mounting:

  • Create a unique duplex stock - if you can’t find a duplex stock that you like we can mount 2 sheets together to create your own custom duplex paper
  • Make an invitation that will make a real impact - mount a 100# Superfine cover to a 4ply museum board to another sheet of superfine. The ultra-thickness of the piece will make it stand out from all the other invitations.
  • Engrave both sides of a business cards. Normally you don’t want to engrave 2 sides of a business card because the bruise from each side will be visible on the other side. A way around this is to engrave on 2 separate sheets of paper and then mount them together. You will have the beauty and elegance of engraving on both sides without seeing the bruise.
