Move
Two and a half weeks later
It has been 2.5 weeks since we moved from Brooklyn to our new home in Harrison, NJ. We have been fully operational since Friday, May 27th.
We are slowly getting everything unpacked and put away. Moving and unpacking 32,000 square feet of equipment, paper etc… can make anyone long for the simplicity of moving to a new apartment or house.
Please enjoy the slide shows showing the progress of our move.
Scenes from Brooklyn as the cutters and presses get dismantled to move. Pressman still are running and the space is become empty.
The engraving department getting set up.
Two and half weeks later, this is where we are at
We are ready and accepting visitors. Please contact us to set up a time to come see us. Check out our new digs and then take in a Red Bulls game or just enjoy a great dinner in the Iron Bound section of Newark - its where you will find the best Portuguese food around.
we have internet and phones… sort of
Woo Hoo!
We are live with internet and phones… sort of. Internet is live. Phone service is live. Just need phones on desk.
presses are moving and running
The move is going smoothly, well, as smoothly as moving 30,000+ square feet of equipment, paper and people can go.
Yesterday we ran the 1st job in the new plant amongst all the work still be done - electric, plumbing, phone/data services and lots of equipment moving.
Here is a clip of one of the presses coming off the truck.
Here is the riggers bringing in more presses.

Today the riggers are moving 3 more truck loads of presses, the platemaker and other equipment.

how did you move the press
We are coming down to the last few days of the move. Six of the die-stamping presses have made the move from Brooklyn to Harrison. We have had a number of people ask us how we are moving the presses. See the video below showing the 1st press making its way to the elevator. Here is a link to a video showing the 1st press making its way out of the building.
For those that have never seen a die-stamping press in action here is another clip of a hand fed press being run.
This one shows the inking of the plate.
